Hello Squarespace.

So here we are, the first ever test run of the new Sideburn site blog feature. Week 1, day... 4? Day 5? I can't remember, it could be more. It feels like I've been in the Squarespace bubble forever and the old grey matter has taken a bit of a beating. But hell, how far have we come? A day of faffing about to reduce some space between images. Another day to get a slideshow up on the header. Umpteen hours of trial and error going through all of Squarespace's 36 different templates.

Some boring but strangely exciting shit, right there.

Some boring but strangely exciting shit, right there.

But it's all good. We've got momentum. Things work and they look clean and slick on desktops, tablets and smartphones.

There's new features to try to implement too, like this blog you're reading; A contact form; A shop and the necessary payment set-up ; And then the task of tying it in to the correct domain.

I'm not kidding myself it's going to be easy – it's not. There is ambitious targets but hey, what doesn't kill you, makes you more grey, right?
